BLIZZARD!

Although I may have already witnessed my first NY snow, I hadn't experienced my first NY snow STORM until yesterday. Schools were cancelled all over the city, unfortunately not work though (the subterranean-ie the subway-was still, after all, unaffected).

It was BEAUTIFUL. The storm was predicted to start during the night, so I ran to the window when I woke up with the eagerness of a child on Christmas morning. I also admit I rose from my desk more than a couple times while at work to observe the gusting flakes swirling in the air and covering the city ever more in the beautiful white blanket.

It was also FIERCE. When going out for lunch, I couldn't even open my eyes! I wished I had had snow goggles. Kind of.

My boss commented that it looked like an old timey town, with no paved streets-so quaint!
